Job Description

BrickHouse Technologies – Hamilton, North Island BrickHouse Technologies designs, manufactures and supports engineered solutions in the water, wastewater and industrial sectors across New Zealand. With continued growth, we’re looking for a hands-on Service Technician to support the commissioning, installation and servicing of equipment. This is a field-based role suited to someone who enjoys working autonomously, diagnosing faults, engaging with customers and taking ownership of service outcomes. The role Reporting to the General Manager, you will deliver after-sales service, maintenance and technical support for BrickHouse-designed and OEM-supplied equipment. You’ll manage your own workload, work directly with customers, and support commissioning, upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives. About you You’re a hands-on Service Technician who enjoys working in the field, solving problems and taking ownership of outcomes. You’re confident engaging with customers, comfortable working autonomously, and take pride in delivering reliable, well-documented service. You’ll bring a strong mechanical background (trade qualified preferred), proven fault-finding skills, and experience working in water/wastewater, manufacturing, mining or heavy industrial environments. You’re practical, organised, and able to manage competing priorities without losing sight of safety, quality or customer expectations. Most importantly, you have a can-do attitude, communicate clearly, and enjoy being part of a team that values initiative, accountability and continuous improvement. Key responsibilities Service, maintain and repair BrickHouse supplied equipment Attend scheduled maintenance, installations and reactive call-outs Diagnose faults and carry out preventative maintenance Assist with commissioning and minor upgrades Communicate effectively with customers and site personnel Identify upgrade and replacement opportunities during service visits Complete service reports, job cards and safety documentation using digital systems Train customers on BrickHouse-built and OEM technologies Ensure all work meets health, safety, quality and compliance requirements Technical and other requirements Competent with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Comfortable learning digital job management, H&S and reporting systems Understanding of water and wastewater servicing regulations First Aid, Site Safe, Chemical Handling and Confined Space certifications preferred What’s on offer Competitive salary based on experience Company vehicle for site travel Autonomy and ownership in a growing service function Long-term opportunity with a stable, engineering-led business #J-18808-Ljbffr
