About the Role As our Communications Support, you'll take the lead on our social media presence and digital communications, working closely with our Funding and Events Manager to bring our campaigns, events, and impact stories to life. You'll be the voice of Good Neighbour across our platforms, helping us build a following that doesn't just watch... it engages, supports, and shows up. No two days will be the same as you plan content, write EDMs, track engagement, and help us tell the story of the difference our community makes every day. What You'll Be Doing Growing Our Social Media Presence You'll take strategic ownership of our platforms by: Planning and coordinating a consistent posting schedule across our social channels. Using platform features and tools strategically to build following, engagement, and reach. Monitoring performance and adjusting approach based on what's working. Responding to comments and messages in a way that reflects our values and tone. Staying on top of trends and opportunities relevant to our community and cause. Writing and Sending Our EDMs You'll help us stay connected with our supporters by: Writing and designing engaging EDMs that inform, inspire, and prompt action. Coordinating EDM schedules alongside our events and campaign calendar. Segmenting and maintaining our contact lists to ensure the right message reaches the right people. Supporting Comms Campaigns and Impact Reporting Working alongside our Funding and Events Manager, you'll: Help plan and deliver communications campaigns that support fundraising, events, and awareness goals. Gather stories, photos, and content from across our programmes to bring campaigns to life. Support the preparation of impact reports that showcase our outcomes to funders, partners, and the community. Ensure messaging is consistent, accurate, and aligned with Good Neighbour's voice across all channels. What We're Looking For A Creative and Strategic Communicator You are someone who: Understands how to grow an audience authentically, not just post content. Has a strong eye for storytelling, visuals, and voice. Can translate complex or sensitive information into clear, engaging messaging. Enjoys experimenting with new formats and platform features. Organised and Reliable You'll thrive in this role if you: Can manage multiple content calendars and deadlines at once. Have excellent attention to detail and proofreading skills. Can adapt quickly to changing priorities, especially around events and campaigns. Work confidently both independently and as part of a collaborative team. A Strong Writer with Shared Values You'll bring: Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to shift tone across platforms and audiences. Confidence working with sensitive or confidential information with care. A strong alignment with and commitment to Good Neighbour's values and mission. Technical Skills You'll also have: Confidence using social media scheduling and management tools. Experience with EDM platforms (e.g. Mailchimp or similar). Confidence using Microsoft Office applications. Basic graphic design skills (e.g. Canva) is an advantage. Qualifications and Experience Preferred: Experience in a communications, marketing, or social media role. Experience writing EDMs or email campaigns. Why Join Good Neighbour?
