Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora - Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty – Whakatane, North Island You are responsible for delivering the Integrated Primary Mental Health and Addictions service (BeingWell) as part of a multi-disciplinary team, located within General Practice, providing enhanced access and choice for patients within this environment. Addressing inequity is a key focus of the service. This new integrated model of care enables patients requiring behavioural change services/support and to move seamlessly between primary care, NGO, Health NZ/Māori Health Authority, and other community supports. You will report to the BeingWell Service Lead - HIP, Community Services & Innovation. This career opportunity involves working within general practice as a regular team member, delivering brief, consultation-based services to general practice team members and general practice patients. You will provide brief evidence-based behavioural interventions to individuals, groups, and families for both mental health and physical health conditions in people of all ages utilising an integrated ‘Model of Care’. You will provide enhanced access and choice for patients within the general practice environment. If you're agile, enthusiastic, and ready to make an impact, we'd love to have you on board! • Registered health professional with current annual practicing certificate in either psychology, nursing, occupational therapist, social worker or similar. • Be an endorsed HIP or have completed Te Pou online training and working towards being endorsed. • Qualifications in CBT or ACT would be an advantage. • Previous clinical experience working with mental health providing evidence-based psychological interventions. • Strong advocacy and resolution skills. • The ability to work independently with agreed boundaries. • Excellent Microsoft Office skills and ability to work in an electronic medical record. • Knowledge of Te Tiriti of Waitangi principles and a commitment to Māori health equity. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. • Excellent planning and organisational skills. • A full and current NZ driver's license.
