5d ago , from Airbus Group Australia Pacific 6 month contract with possibility of extension The opportunity We are seeking an experienced and driven Maintenance Planner to join our team, supporting the successful delivery of maintenance services and ensuring a high standard of operational performance. This role is pivotal in planning and allocating maintenance activities, ensuring efficient workflow, timely outputs, and accurate resource forecasting. The Maintenance Planner will be a key contributor in supporting production, aligning resources to schedule requirements, and facilitating optimal outcomes for the business, our customers, and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Review work-in-progress (WIP) data for adherence to customer scope, schedule, and budget; take corrective actions as needed. Oversee the job lifecycle including opening, WIP tracking, closing, and costing – ensuring accurate cost capturing and reporting. Develop and maintain servicing project plans and Gantt charts with clear milestones and critical path activities. Prepare detailed, accurate maintenance work packages in advance, incorporating updates and known work variances. Manage and maintain aircraft maintenance databases including forecasting, life-limited components, and regulatory compliance data. Record and track modifications, inspections, logbooks, and technical log entries to meet maintenance and airworthiness requirements. Engage with cross-functional teams and SMEs to ensure balanced workloads and timely project delivery. Schedule subcontractor services and coordinate service provider engagement. Review completed customer jobs, trend data, and implement improvements in future work. Ensure strict compliance with Airbus, national and international regulations, procedures, and safety standards. Promote a safety-first culture while demonstrating and promoting Airbus values. About You To be successful in this role, it is a requirement to be able to work in a team environment, have well developed relationship skills as well as good verbal and written skills. You will need to be someone who is able to work autonomously and to tight deadlines and work comfortably in a continuous improvement work environment. The skills and experience best suited to this role include: Essential Experience & Knowledge Extensive experience in aircraft maintenance engineering or aviation technical support roles. Strong knowledge of maintenance interdependencies with airworthiness, engineering design, and support functions. Deep understanding of aviation legislation (DASR, CASA, EASA, etc.). Experience with ERP systems and MS Office Suite. Commercial awareness with the ability to make cost-effective decisions. Project management experience or formal training. Planning background in an engineering/technical environment. Experience in managing subcontracted maintenance services. Qualifications Technical engineering qualification or equivalent relevant experience. Diploma in Planning, Business, or a technical discipline (preferred).
