Senior Technical Business Analyst

Techspace Co., Ltd. – Te Puke, North Island Senior Technical Business Analyst Job Purpose We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Business Analyst to join the BA team. This is a senior, hands-on role that bridges business needs and technology solutions across a portfolio of initiatives. You will work closely with business stakeholders, delivery teams, vendors, and technology leaders to understand complex business challenges, define requirements, and help shape practical, scalable technology solutions. The role requires strong business analysis expertise combined with the ability to contribute to solution design, systems integration, and technology decision‑making. You will be equally comfortable facilitating stakeholder workshops, analysing business processes, documenting requirements, and collaborating with technical teams to ensure solutions align with business objectives and operational realities. Working closely with the BA Lead and the wider technology team, you will play a key role in delivering successful business and technology outcomes while helping to drive continuous improvement across processes and systems. Key Responsibilities - Business Analysis Lead complex business analysis activities across strategic and operational initiatives. Elicit, analyse, validate, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements. Facilitate workshops and stakeholder engagements to identify business needs and solution outcomes. Conduct impact assessments, gap analysis, feasibility assessments, and root cause analysis. Develop and maintain process models, workflows, business rules, and supporting documentation. Ensure requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle. Support the BA Lead in maintaining and improving BA standards, frameworks, and methodologies. Mentor and provide guidance to junior Business Analysts. Maintain enhancement backlogs and support prioritisation activities. Identify opportunities for process optimisation and continuous improvement. Design and support testing activities, including test planning, test scenarios, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Collaborate with technical teams, vendors, and stakeholders to design practical technology solutions that meet business requirements. Contribute to solution design activities across enterprise applications, integrations, cloud services, and data platforms. Produce and maintain solution documentation, including process flows, integration requirements, system interactions, and high-level solution designs. Support technology evaluation and solution option analysis. Work closely with development and implementation teams to ensure solutions are aligned with agreed business outcomes. Assist in identifying technical risks, dependencies, and implementation considerations. Ensure solutions align with enterprise technology standards, security requirements, and operational support models. Stakeholder Management & Delivery Build strong relationships across business and technology teams. Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Provide regular project updates, status reporting, and recommendations. Support change initiatives by ensuring business readiness and stakeholder alignment. Act as a trusted advisor between business stakeholders and technology teams. Solution Design & Technology Delivery Collaborate with technical teams, vendors, and stakeholders to design practical technology solutions that meet business requirements. Contribute to solution design activities across enterprise applications, integrations, cloud services, and data platforms. Produce and maintain solution documentation, including process flows, integration requirements, system interactions, and high-level solution designs. What You’ll Bring - Essential Experience 5+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, or Senior Business Analyst. Proven experience delivering complex business and technology initiatives. Strong experience in requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation, and management. Experience working across enterprise applications, business systems, and technology platforms. Solid understanding of systems integration concepts, including APIs, data flows, and cloud-based services. Experience facilitating workshops and managing diverse stakeholder groups. Strong process modelling, business process improvement, and problem-solving skills. Experience supporting testing, UAT, and solution implementation activities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Nice to Have Experience contributing to solution design or solution architecture activities. Exposure to enterprise integration platforms, ERP systems, CRM platforms, or data solutions. Knowledge of architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or similar. Experience working within cloud environments and modern technology ecosystems. Previous experience mentoring Business Analysts or leading BA workstreams.
