Supply Chain Manager

Jumbo Seafood sources, distributes and exports premium New Zealand seafood. We supply local restaurants, retailers, overseas partners together with our in store and online retail customers. Position Summary To support our expanding wholesale, export and retail focused seafood business, we are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager. Responsibilities 1.Negotiate supply contracts with NZ local fisheries, seafood processors and freight providers, set quality standards, delivery timelines and pricing for our fresh seafood products. 2.Monitor cold storage inventory, analyse seasonal fish supply and market demand to arrange stock plans, reduce spoilage and avoid shortages. 3.Manage local deliveries and export shipments, coordinate freight forwarders and cold storage teams to maintain seafood freshness and comply with MPI food safety rules. 4.Optimise procurement, transport and warehouse workflows, prepare annual budgets and carry out cost saving plans for our wholesale and export business. 5.Cooperate with our sales team, local restaurant clients, retail customers and overseas buyers, adjust delivery schedules and resolve supply related issues. 6.Supervise supply chain officers and warehouse supervisors, set KPIs, review work performance and provide ongoing team training. 7.Keep updated on NZ fishing quota policies and international export rules, adjust our internal procedures to meet regulatory requirements. 8.Prepare monthly reports on procurement costs, stock turnover and delivery performance for company directors to make business decisions. 9.Develop long term sourcing plans, evaluate new local and international suppliers to secure stable seafood supplies for wholesale, retail and export. Requirements 1. A bachelor’s degreeor higher in Managementin Purchasing, Logistics or Business related fields. 2. If the educational requirement is not met, a minimum of 3years of relevant working experience in procurement, logistics coordination, supplier management and cost control activities. 3. Proven ability in supplier negotiation, budget planning, inventory analysis and performance report preparation. 4. English language skills for client communications, compliance documents and team management. 5. Hands on experience managing warehouse or supply chain junior level team members.
