We're looking for a motivated, trade-qualified Electrician to become part of a skilled engineering team based in Levin. This is a permanent, full-time position offering variety, job security and the chance to make a real impact on day-to-day operations. About the Role You'll play a key role in maintaining the plant's electrical systems, responding to breakdowns, carrying out preventative maintenance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to keep production running smoothly. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: Fault finding and repairing industrial electrical equipment. Maintaining motors, switchboards, control circuits and 400V distribution systems. Diagnosing and servicing PLCs, SCADA systems and associated control equipment. Performing preventative maintenance to minimise downtime. Maintaining vacuum packaging and other production machinery. Ordering parts and updating maintenance records. Working closely with production and engineering teams to ensure plant reliability. Following safe work practices, including isolation and lock-out procedures. About You You'll be a practical, solutions-focused electrician who enjoys working in a busy industrial environment and takes pride in producing quality work. To be successful, you'll have: A current New Zealand Electrical Registration and Practising Licence. Previous experience in industrial, manufacturing or food processing environments. PLC fault-finding experience and a solid understanding of industrial automation. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Experience using computer-based maintenance systems. A commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement. A positive attitude and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team. What's in it for You?
