The Cove Cafe Restaurant and bar requires a Senior Sous Chef The Cove Cafe Restaurant and Bar – Waipu, North Island The Cove Cafe is looking for a SeniorSous Chef to join their team. Located beach side at beautiful Waipu Cove. This cafe / restaurant boasts a loyal clientele, extremely good food, competent accomplished chefs and owners who care more for their reputation and their staff than they do for profit. The Cove was in the top 200 restaurants in this years Cusine's Restaurant awards 2025 and won Best Provincial Restaurant in New Zealand in Remax Magazine Lifestyle awards, We are busy, Popular with creativity and excellence at its heart What we want from you is a good attitude, a can do work ethic, passion and creativity and 100% support for the head chef in their day to day running of the kitchen. This is a serious full time role with lots of scope to learn and climb the ladder. We also require at least 5 years relevent experience working in a fast paced cafe/restaurant. Your role will include assisting the head chef with day to day operations, opening the cafe and organizing the set up, preparing the cabinet with the daily specials, prepping and assisting on the front line. This is a full time role with at least 40/50 hours a week. Northland is a beautiful part of the country with pristine beaches, Sub Tropical climate, great Surf and an all-round out door lifestyle.
