The Role Reporting into a finance business partner, this commercial financial accounting position will work closely with operational stakeholders to provide commercial support, financial insight and performance reporting across a portfolio of projects and business activities. This is a highly visible role that combines management accounting, forecasting, business partnering and commercial analysis. You'll be a key contributor to decision-making, helping leaders understand performance drivers, identify risks and opportunities, and improve financial outcomes. The position offers exposure to a variety of stakeholders and business functions, making it an ideal opportunity for someone looking to move beyond traditional accounting into a more commercially focused role. Key responsibilities include: Preparing monthly financial and operational performance reporting Developing forecasts, cashflow projections and financial analysis Supporting budgeting and planning processes Providing commercial insights and recommendations to operational leaders Monitoring project and business unit performance against targets Reviewing costs, profitability and financial risks Maintaining strong financial controls and balance sheet integrity Supporting reporting enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives Contributing to business transformation and data-focused projects Role Requirements We are interested in speaking with candidates who can bring a combination of strong technical accounting skills and commercial curiosity. Backgrounds that would be particularly relevant include: Chartered Accounting firm experience, ideally within Audit and Assurance Project accounting, management accounting or commercial finance experience CA qualification (or working towards completion) Strong analytical, reporting and financial modelling capability Advanced Excel skills and the ability to quickly learn new systems Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Confidence challenging assumptions and influencing decision-making A proactive and solutions-focused approach Exposure to Power BI or similar reporting tools would be advantageous What's in it for You?
