About the Role This is not your typical retail role. As a Design Consultant with Curtain Studio, you’ll work closely with customers to understand their space, needs, and lifestyle, then guide them to the right window furnishing solutions. You’ll be out in customers’ homes, measuring, quoting, and closing sales, as well as supporting in-store enquiries. It’s a hands-on, relationship-driven role where your ability to connect, advise, and follow through is what sets you apart. We’re looking for someone who enjoys a consultative sales approach, thrives on achieving results, and can confidently manage the end-to-end customer journey. This is a Tuesday - Saturday position based in our Newmarket Branch. Key duties and responsibilities Deliver in-home consultations: measure, quote, and close Guide customers through tailored window furnishing solutions Follow up quotes within 24-48 hours to secure sales Manage customer leads and build your own pipeline Maintain strong relationships to drive repeat and referral business Keep showroom presentation high and welcoming Accurately manage sales documentation and CRM updates Work collaboratively with the wider team to deliver great outcomes You will have Proven experience in consultative sales (home improvement, construction, flooring, kitchens, bathrooms or similar ideal) Confidence working with customers in-home and building trust quickly Strong track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets Ability to measure accurately and translate needs into solutions Excellent communication and follow-up discipline Strong organisation and time management skills A full, clean NZ driver's licence Confidence using systems/CRM Experience with soft furnishings, textiles, or window coverings is nice to have, but not essential. This role is best suited to someone who enjoys sales and customer interaction, rather than a purely design-focused position.
