Healthcare Architect

Architectus seeks to engage a Healthcare Architect or experienced Architectural Graduate to join our team in our Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland studio. This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with our growing team on projects that improve patient outcomes, enhance clinical workflows, and create high-performing healthcare environments. The Opportunity You will play a key role in the planning, design, and delivery of healthcare facilities, working collaboratively with clients, clinicians, consultants, and project teams from concept through to completion. You will contribute your expertise in healthcare design to deliver innovative, compliant, and functional spaces that meet the needs of patients, staff, and communities. Key Responsibilities Lead and contribute to the design of healthcare and clinical facilities Develop clinical planning solutions that support efficient patient and staff workflows Prepare concept designs, documentation, and technical drawings Coordinate with multidisciplinary consultants and project stakeholders Ensure designs comply with relevant healthcare standards, building codes, and regulatory requirements Your Skills and Experience Creative, innovative and rigorous design thinking Excellent verbal, written and graphical communication skills Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the confidence to liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory authorities. Innovative and thoughtful design solutions that respond to client and project aspirations. Strong understanding of healthcare planning principles and clinical workflows. Knowledge of Australasian Health Facility Guidelines Experience with healthcare documentation, including Room Layout Sheets, and co-ordination of healthcare equipment An understanding of dRofus is preferred What we offer Our studio is recognised for creating innovative, thoughtful architecture that has received industry awards for design excellence.
