Job Description
Freelance | Auckland | $45-60/hr (depending on experience) | 15-20 Hours Per Week (Ave.) We're Noria - a full-service Amazon growth agency on a mission to become the premier marketplace solution for ambitious consumer brands across Australasia. We've driven millions in marketplace sales, helped dozens of brands take their first steps into international markets, and bring 30+ years of combined marketplace experience to every account we run - working across Amazon USA, Amazon AU, Chewy, Walmart and beyond. We're looking for a Digital Account Manager to own day-to-day client management across a small portfolio of accounts, on a freelance basis (15-20 hrs/week), working directly with our Founder/CEO. This isn't a training pipeline - we need someone who already knows how to drive digital performance with brand partners and can start taking real ownership off our plate from day one. No two days look the same in this role - one day you might be deep in a client's monthly numbers, the next you're briefing the team on a new priority or handling something that needs your judgment call. If you like variety and want real ownership rather than a fixed checklist, that's exactly the environment this role offers. Our Tuesday 7:30am team call can be joined remotely, but the rest of Tuesday is based in our Penrose, Auckland office. This is a hybrid role, but for the first 4 weeks we expect you in the office full-time to get up to speed on our clients, systems and team - after that, you'll have the flexibility to work remotely 1-2 days a week. What you'll do: Be the primary point of contact for your clients - own the relationship, the comms, and the tone Deliver monthly reporting, translating performance data into a clear commercial story for the client Assist with annual planning for 2027 (October/November) - helping shape the following year's account strategy and targets Flag risk and manage client expectations before they become a problem Own the account's growth agenda - turn client asks into clear priorities, direct the team executing on them, and drive initiatives to completion Handle anything requiring client-level judgment - escalations, sensitive conversations, contract questions What we're looking for: Real digital experience - you've managed digital marketing or media accounts and can point to performance you've actually driven for a client or brand, not just executed on Comfortable managing a team - directing specialists, setting priorities, holding people accountable for output, without needing to do the technical work yourself Commercially minded - you read a P&L instinctively and connect channel performance back to the client's bottom line Composed under pressure - you can deliver bad news without the client panicking Adaptable and hands-on - we're a fast-growing agency, so priorities shift and this role needs someone ready to roll up their sleeves, not just operate inside a fixed job description Auckland-based, with an expectation of full-time office presence for the first 4 weeks, moving to hybrid (1-2 remote days/week) after that Comfortable working across FMCG brands, including alcohol Amazon or marketplace experience is a strong plus, not a requirement What's on offer: The chance to learn Amazon and global marketplaces first-hand from a world-class team - our people bring 30+ years of combined marketplace experience across dozens of brand launches Real account ownership from day one, not a training pipeline Direct exposure to Amazon, Chewy & Petco strategy for growth-stage consumer brands Growing scope - additional brands and accounts coming on later in the year as we continue to grow fast 15-20 hrs/week, flexible structure with one fixed Tuesday block Be careful - Don’t provide your bank or credit card details when applying for jobs.
