Overview NorthTec has an exciting opportunity for an Ākonga Experience Facilitator to join our team, delivering integrated, learner-centred support across the full ākonga journey - from first enquiry through to graduation - with a focus area supporting our international learners, including visa support, insurance, homestay liaison, orientation, and partnership school visits. This frontline, multi-skilled role also covers enrolments and academic records, pastoral care, and financial/funding support (StudyLink, Youth Guarantee), working closely with academic and support teams to ensure a seamless learner experience. To be successful in this role, you will hold a relevant tertiary qualification and bring 2–3 years' experience in a learner-facing or support service role. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is primarily based at our Raumanga Campus in Whangārei, however ability/flexibility to travel to other sites within the region may be required to support programme delivery. Skills, Experience and Attributes Relevant tertiary qualification (e.g. education, youth development, business administration, social services), or equivalent experience 2–3 years' experience in a learner-facing or support service role Proven experience in enrolments, student records, pastoral care, or academic/financial support services Experience supporting international learners (e.g. visa, insurance, homestay, orientation) is an advantage Demonstrated ability to work with Māori, Pacific, and diverse communities Familiarity with Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles and their application Confidence using digital tools, including student management systems and Microsoft Office Full NZ driver's licence; ability to travel across Tai Tokerau and attend events outside standard business hours If you would like the opportunity to join a team that prides itself in making a difference in the lives of ākonga, their whanau, and the wider community, we welcome you to apply for this position.
