Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our operational teams and help drive the continued success and growth of our business. About the Role Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of Terra Civil's operations. This role ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The successful applicant will lead project teams, support business growth, and champion a strong health and safety culture across the organisation. Key Responsibilities Lead day-to-day operations across multiple projects. Manage civil projects from planning through to completion. Ensure projects meet contractual obligations and client expectations. Track job costs and supplier invoices. Ensure all projects operate in accordance with company Health & Safety Management Systems. Project health and safety, create Site Specific Safety Plans, etc. Oversee ordering of materials and delivery to sites. Monitor project budgets and financial performance. Complete monthly claims and invoices. Foster a positive and high-performing team culture. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, councils, and suppliers. Ensure projects meet company quality standards. Review weekly timesheets for payroll. Drive continuous improvement across operational processes. Operate plant when required. Skills and Experience The successful applicant will ideally have: Minimum 8 years' experience within the civil construction industry. Previous experience managing multiple civil construction projects. Proven leadership and people management skills. Strong commercial and financial understanding. Excellent planning and organisational ability. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Comprehensive understanding of Health and Safety legislation. Experience with earthworks, drainage, subdivisions, roading, utilities, and infrastructure projects. Full clean Driver's Licence required Desired Qualifications Qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience. First Aid Certificate (preferred).
