Postie - Full-Time Position

We are seeking a reliable, motivated, and hardworking individual to join our delivery team as a full-time Postie in Northland. The successful applicant will be responsible for sorting and delivering mail and small parcels safely and efficiently using a motorcycle. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, staying active, working outdoors, and providing an essential delivery service to the local community. Training and ongoing support will be provided to the successful applicant. Job Description We are seeking a reliable, motivated, and hardworking individual to join our delivery team as a full-time Postie in Northland. The successful applicant will be responsible for sorting and delivering mail and small parcels safely and efficiently using a motorcycle. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, staying active, working outdoors, and providing an essential delivery service to the local community. Training and ongoing support will be provided to the successful applicant. Key Responsibilities Sort and prepare mail and small parcels for daily delivery. Deliver mail and parcels to residential and commercial addresses. Follow the assigned delivery route and complete deliveries accurately and on time. Operate a delivery motorcycle safely and responsibly. Scan delivery items using an approved delivery device. Obtain signatures or proof of delivery when required. Follow all road-safety and delivery procedures. Provide friendly and professional customer service. Complete routine motorcycle safety checks. Report motorcycle faults, delivery issues, hazards, incidents, or safety concerns promptly. Work safely in different weather conditions. Wear the required uniform and personal protective equipment. Keep delivery equipment, bags, scanners, and the motorcycle clean and secure. Follow all company health and safety procedures. Complete other reasonable delivery-related duties when required. Requirements The successful applicant must have: A valid New Zealand motorcycle licence, with at least a Learner licence. The confidence and ability to ride a motorcycle safely. A good understanding of New Zealand road rules. Strong time-management and organisational skills. Good communication and customer-service skills. The ability to follow delivery routes and meet deadlines. A good level of physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors. A reliable, punctual, honest, and hardworking attitude. The ability to work independently and manage daily responsibilities. Previous postie, motorcycle delivery, courier, or similar experience is preferred but not essential.
