About the Role We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join ourinterprofessional Integrated Family Health Service (IFHS) team in a casualcapacity. This role focuses on providing holistic healthcare services tochildren, adults, and whānau, enhancing health outcomes in rural communities.Working within the primary care setting, you will align your efforts with HealthNZ's vision and values to deliver culturally competent, person-centered care. Key Responsibilities ClinicalCare Delivery Providehigh-quality care in primary care settings for improved patient outcomes. Prioritizethe needs of Māori as tangata whenua to achieve equitable healthoutcomes. Undertakecomprehensive, culturally appropriate assessments and care planning. Utilizeevidence-based practices for holistic health management. Supportthe integration of acute, community, mental health, and primary careservices. Collaboratewith community stakeholders to address unmet healthcare needs. Promotewellness by empowering whānau through health literacy education. Embracechanges to health strategies and models of care with enthusiasm. Enhancepersonal professional development (e.g., Registered Nurse Prescribing,mental health training). Identifyopportunities to streamline the client journey for equitable outcomes. Professionaland Ethical Standards Adhereto professional, ethical, and legal standards in decision-making andconduct. Supporta culturally safe environment and uphold the Treaty of Waitangiprinciples. Advocatefor patients and address barriers to accessing health services. Provideeducation tailored to improve health literacy and empower clients. About the Team/Service/ Location ThePractice Nurse is a highly trained Registered Nurse and recognised member ofthe interprofessional Integrated Family Health Service (IFHS) team located inthe Central Region (Greymouth). This role is responsible for providing a rangeof holistic services across the age continuum within the integrated primarycare setting; enabling excellence in rural health outcomes in alignment with HealthNew Zealand- Te Tai o Poutini's vision and values. About You Qualifications and Skills NewZealand Registered Nurse with a current Annual Practising Certificate. Commitmentto cultural competency training and application. Proficientin MedTech32 and Microsoft Office Suite. Experienceas a Practice Nurse, including long-term condition management. Currentcertifications in immunization, cervical smears, and triage. Postgraduatequalifications in pathophysiology, pharmacology, or other relevant fields. Attributes: Passionateabout rural health and Māori health equity. Flexible,collaborative, and self-motivated team player. Resilientunder pressure with excellent critical thinking and communication skills.
