Qualified Builder / Foreman

As our Qualified Builder / Foreman, you'll be responsible for overseeing day-to-day site operations while remaining hands-on throughout the build. You'll lead your team, coordinate subcontractors, ensure projects stay on schedule, and maintain the highest standards of workmanship and health & safety. Key responsibilities Lead and supervise residential and commercial construction projects Coordinate and manage site staff and subcontractors Read and interpret construction plans and specifications Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to a high standard Monitor quality control throughout each stage of construction Maintain excellent communication with clients, suppliers, and management Promote and maintain a strong Health & Safety culture on site Identify and resolve site issues efficiently About you Qualified Carpenter (NZ recognised qualification preferred) Experience in a Foreman or Leading Hand role Excellent leadership and people management skills Strong knowledge of NZ Building Code and construction practices Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications High attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills Full New Zealand Driver Licence About us Shawn Williamson Building Ltd is a well-established and growing construction company delivering residential and commercial projects throughout the Bay of Plenty.
