Senior Builder

Harford Greenhouses is hiring: Senior Builder / Installer (Christchurch, Full Time, Permanent) Since 1981, Harford Greenhouses has been building New Zealand's commercial greenhouse structures. This role has opened up as a result of an internal promotion, one of our own moving up within the business, which reflects the growth we've seen since taking on new ownership earlier this year. We're now looking for an experienced Senior Builder / Installer to lead on-site installations and repairs, from home gardener kitsets through to large commercial projects. The role: Lead on-site installation and repair of greenhouse structures, including framing, greenhouse film, and fit-out Read and work from engineering drawings, installation manuals, and project specs Supervise and mentor junior builders/installers Liaise directly with clients on site Maintain high site safety and quality standards What we're looking for: Proven experience as a builder, installer, or fabricator (greenhouse experience a plus) Confidence reading construction and engineering drawings Strong site leadership and mentoring ability Full, clean driving licence (Class 2/heavy trailer an advantage) Working at Height and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) This is a hands-on role with genuine autonomy, running your own sites, backed by an established and growing company.
