From tramping, trail running and camping to climbing, travel and backcountry adventures, they stock premium outdoor clothing, footwear and equipment from leading brands including Arc'teryx, Patagonia, Osprey, Salomon, icebreaker, Black Diamond, Scarpa, Sea to Summit and ASICS. We're looking for an experienced Store Manager to lead the Dunedin store, take ownership of store performance and help customers gear up for their next adventure. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who genuinely loves the outdoors and can bring that passion into everyday conversations with the team and customers alike. What the job entails: Lead and motivate a team of 6-7, including experienced casuals and a midweek crew who'll look to you for direction Drive sales and margin targets while creating a customer-focused culture Oversee day‑to‑day store operations, rostering, merchandising and stock management Manage wages, store expenses and operating costs within agreed targets Deliver an exceptional in-store experience that keeps customers coming back Coach and develop the team's product knowledge (full training provided) Support recruitment, onboarding and ongoing staff development Complete regular reporting and contribute to planning Tuesday to Saturday roster Get hands‑on with the product, from tents to tramping boots, and help customers make the right choices for their adventures What you'll bring: Previous experience managing a team in a retail environment A strong Interest and passion for outdoor activities and gear Commercial confidence managing wages, budgets, margins and store costs Strong people management skills, with the ability to bring a team together A customer‑first mindset and great problem‑solving instincts What's on offer: Annual Store Manager training days Supportive and friendly work environment Actively encouraged to get into the outdoors for that work‑life balance Focused training and coaching with ongoing support through the in‑house training system Generous staff discounts with access to major outdoor premium brands #J-18808-Ljbffr
