What we offer: A friendly team environment with a strong technical support network An opportunity to work across diverse environments and technologies Opportunities for travel Broad training and development opportunities The Role: We are looking for a Level 2 IT Support/Helpdesk team member experienced in supporting a diverse customer base and managing multiple priorities. This role will involve supporting VInet’s customers by troubleshooting issues, contributing to service desk operations, and assisting with the maintenance of customer environments. You will also have opportunities to support solution implementation and general improvement tasks. The role is based in our Hamilton office providing software, hardware and server support remotely along with actioning onsite IT requests when required. We are seeking someone who aligns with our team values, can demonstrate a reliable and professional track record in IT support, and is committed to delivering outstanding customer service. What theRole entails: Provide professional technical phone and on-site software, hardware and PC support Record, resolve and support all issues in the Service Desk ticketing system Take ownership of delivering support to issues from end to end, prioritising and escalating when required Supporting on-premises infrastructure such as Windows Server, PC’s, switches, firewalls Supporting cloud based services such as Microsoft 365 Using troubleshooting tools and techniques to diagnose and implement control actions as necessary to ensure network availability Testing, implementing, monitoring and tuning IT systems to ensure optimum performance and highlight potential issues Continuous training and development acquiring technical certifications in addition to mandatory vendor training requirements Developing technical documentation and reporting as required to prevent future occurrences and to support operational staff Personal Attributes and technical qualifications: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Possess a genuine interest in furthering your skills Experience in desktop support of standard operating systems and Microsoft Office Patch management, desktop deployment, backup and restore Certification highly regarded in the following fields: Highly regarded: Ability to contribute and work effectively as part of a team and work autonomously where required.
