About the Ngatea Clinic Our Ngatea clinic is a vibrant, friendly mixed-practice hub. We are deeply committed to backing our local community and delivering high-quality service to all clients and their animals. This is a brilliant opportunity to be at the heart of a thriving rural community, working alongside farmers, pet owners, and a passionate clinical team. About the Role As our Customer Service Coordinator, you are the heartbeat of the clinic. You will be the vital link connecting our farmer members with our Production Animal Veterinarians and Large Animal Technicians (Techs), ensuring timely and efficient service delivery for our farmer members and clients. This role also supports our Companion Animal Veterinarians by coordinating appointments, communication, and day-to-day clinic flow, to ensure pets and their owners receive a warm, professional, and compassionate experience every time. Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. To fully support our farming community during their busiest time, there is an occasional Saturday morning roster (9:00 am to 12:00 pm) for an 8-week period during the spring calving season. Key Responsibilities: Farmer & Client Care: Provide exceptional face-to-face service within our retail store and act as the welcoming first port of call over the phone. Clinical Team Coordination: Work hand-in-hand with our Production Animal Vets, Companion Animal Vets, and Large Animal Techs, efficiently scheduling consults and farm calls, managing bookings, and dispatching support where it's needed on-farm. Clinic Operations: Take charge of the day-to-day flow of the clinic, ensuring the environment is clean, welcoming, and sparkling for our customers. Admin & Inventory: Complete month-end duties, manage retail and clinical inventory, and handle essential administration tasks to keep the team moving. About You This role is perfect for a customer service champion, retail professional, or administrator who genuinely loves people. While a background in farming or the veterinary industry is a massive advantage, it isn't essential, we will provide full, top-notch training for the right person. To thrive in this role, you will have: Proven customer service and administration experience. A strong collaborative mindset - you love being a team player and are dedicated to truly looking after our farmer members and clients. Adaptability, sharp critical thinking, and a knack for proactive problem-solving. Excellent computer literacy alongside strong written and verbal communication skills.
