Quantity Surveyor

ConsultANZ is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join a well-known civil contractor in Wellington, New Zealand . In this role, you will report to the Commercial Manager and handle contracts, costs, and commercial reports for part of the project, working with managers, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to help deliver major civil infrastructure works. Main Duties: Managed daily contract activities and commercial reporting tasks. Reviewed project claims, invoices, payments, and variation requests. Monitored project expenses, budgets, and cost progress. Handled subcontractor agreements, payments, and account records. Checked for commercial issues and helped find solutions. Updated and maintained project files, reports, and documents. Supported project teams in meeting deadlines and targets. Assisted with cost control and financial tracking. Prepared regular updates on project progress and costs. Coordinated with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams. Requirements: Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Commercial Management, or a related discipline. Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civil construction or infrastructure projects. Strong knowledge of contract administration and cost management. Experience with NZS 3910 or similar forms of contract is preferred. Exposure to Target Outturn Cost (TOC) contracts is advantageous. Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. Benefits: Competitive Salary: $110,000–$150,000 (negotiable depending on experience).
