Data Engineer – Fixterm until March 28 We're looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join a major enterprise transformation programme focused on modernising a core data platform. This is an opportunity to work on a high-profile initiative that will shape the future of a large and complex organisation, rebuilding legacy data pipelines and delivering a modern, scalable data environment. About the Role: As a Data Engineer, you'll play a key role in redesigning and rebuilding data pipelines, ensuring data quality, integrity, and reliability throughout a large-scale migration programme. Working alongside architects, engineers, and business stakeholders, you'll help deliver robust data solutions that support critical business outcomes. What You'll Be Doing: Design, build, test, and deploy modern data pipelines using engineering best practices. Rebuild and optimise legacy data pipelines to support a new core platform. Develop reconciliation processes to ensure data accuracy and completeness. Collaborate with architects and cross-functional teams to deliver seamless data integration. Create well-structured, scalable data models with clear data lineage. Champion data governance, quality, and security practices. Contribute to a modern cloud-based data architecture and continuously improve engineering standards. What We’re Looking For: 5+ years' experience in Data Engineering or a similar role. Strong Microsoft SQL Server and advanced T‑SQL skills. Experience building ETL solutions (SSIS highly desirable). Exposure to modern data technologies such as Snowflake, dbt, and Python. Solid understanding of data warehousing and dimensional modelling. Experience working with APIs, XML, and JSON data sources. Strong understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, version control (Git), and modern engineering practices. Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills. The ability to thrive in complex environments with evolving requirements.
