Beyond Recruitment - Wellington, North Island Hourly Rate Contract- 3 to 6 months in duration Central Wellington-based, working full-time on site Drive better ways of working. Enable high-performing teams. Deliver meaningful outcomes. We are seeking an experienced Ways of Working Coach to join a large, complex organisation on a contract basis. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about improving organisational performance through coaching, facilitation and continuous improvement practices. Working closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams, you will help embed effective ways of working, improve planning and delivery disciplines, strengthen accountability, and support teams to achieve better outcomes. About the Role As a Ways of Working Coach, you will work hands-on with leaders and teams to improve prioritisation, planning, performance rhythms, collaboration and delivery effectiveness. You'll coach teams through change, facilitate key planning and review processes, and help build sustainable capability across the organisation. This is a highly influential role that requires strong coaching skills, credibility with senior stakeholders and the ability to drive change without direct authority. Key Responsibilities Coach senior leaders, managers and teams to adopt and embed effective ways of working Facilitate planning, prioritisation and delivery processes, including OKRs, initiative planning, dependency management and retrospectives. Support performance and delivery reviews that strengthen accountability for outcomes. Enable collaboration across teams and functions to remove blockers and improve delivery effectiveness. Embed practical ways of working that improve decision-making, planning, problem-solving and continuous improvement. Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies and dependencies that impact flow and performance. Build capability by coaching leaders and teams on behaviours, mindsets and modern ways of working practices. Conduct health checks, maturity assessments and team effectiveness reviews. Use data, observations and stakeholder feedback to identify improvement opportunities and drive meaningful change. Reinforce a performance culture focused on outcomes, accountability and continuous improvement. About You You will be a seasoned coach and facilitator with experience working within large, complex organisations. You will bring a pragmatic approach to improving performance and be comfortable influencing and developing capability of senior stakeholders across diverse business functions. You will have Significant experience coaching senior leaders and leadership teams. Strong facilitation skills and the ability to lead planning and performance forums. Deep understanding of Agile, Lean and continuous improvement methodologies. Experience implementing and improving organisational ways of working. OD and Leadership Development experience. A proven ability to influence without authority and build strong stakeholder relationships. Excellent communication, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills.
