Forklift Operator We are currently seeking an experienced Forklift Operator for a 6-9 month contract opportunity based in Hornby, with a chance this could go to temp to perm, starting Monday 17th August 2026. This role is suited to an experienced forklift operator who enjoys a varied day operating machinery in a busy warehouse and yard environment. You will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, moving stock throughout the site, working within the sort bay, completing pallet replenishment, and assisting with yard operations to ensure stock is moved safely and efficiently. Hours Monday to Friday, 11:00am - 7:00pm First week training will be Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm before moving into the afternoon shift hours What's on Offer $26.90 per hour + 8% holiday pay Great overtime rates available Meal allowances when applicable 6-9 month contract opportunity with potential for extension Key Responsibilities Operating forklifts safely and efficiently at all times Loading and unloading trucks Moving stock throughout the warehouse and yard Working within the sort bay and completing stock movements Pallet replenishment and staging stock ready for dispatch Assisting with yard duties using the forklift Using scanners for stock control and system updates Ensuring stock is handled accurately and safely Following all site instructions and maintaining strong Health & Safety standards Reporting any hazards, equipment issues, or safety concerns immediately About You Current OSH forklift certificate essential Recent forklift operating experience required Confident operating a forklift in a busy warehouse, dispatch, or yard environment Experience with loading/unloading trucks and stock movements preferred Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused Comfortable working independently and as part of a team Pre-Employment Requirements Must be able to provide two recent work references Must be able to pass a Drug Test, Ministry of Justice (MOJ) check and ACC check Please note: applicants without a current OSH forklift certificate and recent forklift experience will not be considered.
