ECE Teacher (ECE Qualified & NZ Registered) Honeybees Preschool is looking for a Qualified Early Childhood Teacher to join our team :-) Thisis fora maternity cover possible permanent We require: Experience in an early childhood education environment, and A qualification in early childhood education (gained in NZ, or internationally) that enables you to be a registered teacher with the NZ Teachers Council Teaching experience and qualification/registration is required, but personality traits are equally important; we look for someone who is kind, nurturing, energetic and passionate about early childhood education! Honeybees is a sanctuary where we encompass warm professionalism, mindful rituals, foster exploration of our richly resourced environment, and nurture children’s learning, development and individuality. We are licensed for 50 children, aged 2-5 years, and we usually have a fairly even split of 2, 3 and 4+ year olds. It's an open-plan, mixed ages centre, where our wonderful group of teachers and children work, play and learn together. The teaching team are supported by warm, family-orientated directors, a centre manager who has been here from the very start of Honeybees, and an Office Manager and Qualified Chef who also do their part every day to ensure our teachers are able to happily buzz about and work their magic! We are enriched by the diverse culture, heritage, language and identity within our Honeybees community, together we create an atmosphere and environment that feels like home. Our centre has well established processes and policies, the physical environment is clean, bright and engaging and we have high teacher child ratios; we are often referred to as an ‘oasis in the heart of the city’.
