Education Developer and Events Coordinator New Zealand Certified Builders – Wellington Central, North Island This is a 12-month fixed-term contract. There may be an opportunity for the role to become permanent, subject to organisational needs and business requirements. About NZCB New Zealand Certified Builders (NZCB) is the membership association for trade-qualified residential builders. Our members build high-quality homes for everyday New Zealanders and are the only builders in New Zealand required to hold a recognised trade qualification in carpentry as a condition of membership. An industry leader, NZCB represents approximately 3,000 members across New Zealand, comprising both businesses and individual builders. Over recent years, NZCB has been on a transformative growth journey, with education identified as a core strategic priority. This has included developing the NZCB Learn online learning platform, reimagining our annual Conference and Apprentice Challenge, and investing in the growth and quality of regional member events across the country. About the Role As NZCB's Education Developer and Events Coordinator, you will help shape the professional development and member experience of New Zealand's best builders. This is a varied and rewarding role that combines education programme development, online learning design, stakeholder engagement, and event management. From creating NZCB Learn content and coordinating regional events to supporting our flagship national conference and collaborating with industry experts, no two days will be the same. You’ll work closely with NZCB members, industry partners, and subject matter experts to develop learning opportunities and events that help our members build their capability, strengthen their businesses, and stay connected with their industry. This is a hands‑on role where creativity meets organisation, and where your work will make a tangible difference to the success of NZCB members throughout New Zealand. What You'll Bring We’re looking for someone who enjoys making things happen and thrives in a fast‑paced, relationship‑focused environment. Experience coordinating events from planning through to delivery. Experience developing online learning content using Articulate 360 or a similar e‑learning authoring platform. Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. The ability to build strong relationships with members, stakeholders, suppliers, and industry partners. Confidence using Microsoft 365 and a willingness to embrace new technology and systems. Strong attention to detail and a proactive, solutions‑focused mindset. Experience working with learning management systems (LMS) would be advantageous.
