About the Role As a Clinical Administration Support team member, you will provide administrative support to consultants and clinical teams, helping to manage the patient journey from specialist referral and appointment through to treatment and ongoing care within the community. This role requires excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to maintain accurate patient information within our clinical systems, including the transcription of medical documentation. This is a permanent, part-time role working 48 hours per fortnight (0.6 FTE), with hours across: Week 1: Monday, Thursday, Friday 7.30AM to 4.00PM; Week 2: Tuesday, Wednesday, 7.30AM to 4.00PM, Saturday & Sunday 7.30AM to 11.30AM. By providing essential administrative support, we enable clinical teams to focus on delivering exceptional patient care. For more information on living and working in Nelson click here About you As Clinical Administration Support, you will: Have a positive, professional, and approachable manner; Possess excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service; Be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite with strong computer literacy; Demonstrate empathy, discretion, and a commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality; Have proven ability to prioritise tasks and manage a busy workload effectively. A typing speed of 50 words per minute or more is essential. Dictaphone experience and medical terminology would be advantageous but not essential. Our preferred applicants will be required to undertake a computer skills assessment. The successful candidate must be eligible to work in New Zealand or hold a valid NZ work visa at the time of applying.
