Aboutthe Role Excitingopportunity for a Clinical Nurse Specialist role in the Haemostasis Service(Outpatient Department). The role requires you to manage patients withthrombotic conditions in partnership with Haemostasis clinicians, includingperi-operative management and anticoagulation oversight in complex patients.You will also work closely with Bleeding Disorders CNS and help coverthecare of patients with bleeding disorders during planned and unplannedleave.There also will be future opportunities as part of servicedevelopment for nurse led thrombosis clinics and protocol development. Criticaland agile thinking is key and being able to cross cover with the BleedingDisorders CNS for planned and unplanned leave is essential. Thisis a Monday - Friday role, 8:00am - 4:30pm and working days are typicallyMonday - Wednesday. We have a small team of 1 - 3 staff and this role requiresa high level of autonomy and liaison with the Haemostasis SMO's and otherclinicians referring into the service. AboutYou At least 3 years post registration experience inHaematology, or an area with peri-procedural experiences such as surgeryor gastroenterology with a PG qualification. Demonstrates skills in nursing leadership Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skillsand ability to build effective relationships with a strong patient focus. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinaryteam.
