Telecommunication Technician

Join Goldtech Engineering as a Telecommunication Technician based in Nelson , Tasman. This is a full-time role with minimum 30hrs per week. This role is integral in supporting the company's telecommunications operations and ensuring reliable connectivity for our clients. What you'll be doing Conducting installations, maintenance and repairs on a variety of telecommunication equipment and infrastructure Troubleshooting network issues and restoring service in a timely manner Performing scheduled preventative maintenance checks and upgrades Documenting all work performed and maintaining detailed records Providing excellent customer service and technical support to clients Collaborating with team members to identify process improvements and best practices Installing fibre copper networks into Residential and business Scoping Residential and business premises Setting up and configuration of LAN for customers including their equipment to the specs and networking Connecting ONT device to existing LAN networks for network compatibility Blowing, hauling and splicing of both copper and fibre both mechanical and hand held tools Programming and configuring computer networks and fibre devices Maintenance, testing and installation of cables/wires and aerials whilst making sure that they are performing at their best levels on the network Be able to work in confined spaces and able to perform civil and scoping work which may include concrete cutting and reinstating, thrusting and underground work.
