Service Technician - Water Treatment Engineering

Franklin Water is seeking a dedicated and skilled Water Treatment Service Tech to join our team in Pukekohe, Auckland. This is a full-time position based on-site, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining, servicing, and repairing water treatment systems for our valued clients. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring that our customers receive reliable, high-quality water treatment solutions whilst maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. This role is integral to our operations and directly impacts customer satisfaction and system performance. What you'll be doing Carrying out routine maintenance and inspection of water treatment systems, including filters, UV systems, softeners, reverse osmosis units, dosing and monitoring systems. Diagnosing and troubleshooting faults in water treatment equipment and implementing effective repairs Installing new water treatment systems and components at customer premises, ensuring correct configuration and optimal performance Conducting water quality testing and analysis to verify system performance and compliance with standards Attending to customer call-outs promptly and professionally, providing technical support and advice Maintaining detailed service records and documentation for all maintenance work completed Liaising with customers to explain technical issues and recommendations for system improvements Ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with health and safety regulations and company procedures Contributing to the training and support of less experienced technicians where appropriate What we're looking for Proven experience as a Service Technician or similar role within water treatment, plumbing, or mechanical services Sound knowledge of water treatment systems, components, and operating principles Competency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical equipment Valid driver's licence and reliability to travel to customer sites across the Pukekohe and Auckland region Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients Physical fitness and capability to perform manual tasks, including lifting and working in various environments Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate service records A strong safety mindset and willingness to adhere to health and safety procedures Relevant qualifications or certifications in water treatment, plumbing, or mechanical engineering are highly desirable What we offer Franklin Water, we value our employees and are committed to providing a supportive working environment.
