Event Project Manager & Sales Coordinator This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Event Project Manager / Sales Coordinator to join the team at NZ’s leading event hire equipment business. They are a family-owned business who create and deliver exceptional event experiences – everything from exhibitions, conferences, trade shows, corporate events, and custom activations nationwide—from shell schemes and bespoke stands to signage, furniture, lighting, power, logistics, and full event solutions. The Role We're seeking an experienced Event Project Manager / Sales Coordinator who thrives in a fast-paced environment, builds strong client relationships, and takes pride in delivering outstanding events. This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same. You'll manage multiple exhibition and event projects from enquiry to onsite delivery and pack-out, ensuring each is delivered on time, on budget, and to a high standard. Working with sales, design, operations, production, and logistics teams, you'll be a trusted client advisor and help deliver memorable events across New Zealand. The role is working full time (minimum 40 hours) in the office which is based in Mangere Bridge. As with the nature of events, there will be the requirement to work additional hours and weekends depending on the event pack in / out. In addition to salary / hourly rate there is commission based on team performance and sales for existing and new business. About You You'll have proven experience in exhibitions, events or project management, be a motivated team player and self-starter, with a passion and desire to deliver excellence to your clients. You will understand the pace of events and enjoy managing multiple projects while keeping clients informed and supported. Key Responsibilities Manage exhibition and event projects from enquiry through to completion Prepare quotations, proposals, and project documentation using company systems Coordinate project timelines, production schedules, and onsite requirements Liaise with clients, event organisers, venues, contractors, and suppliers Develop and maintain long-term client relationships through exceptional service Identify opportunities to introduce clients to Coast Group's wider range of event services Coordinate freight, labour, furniture, lighting, power, signage, and custom build needs Work with design, operations, and warehouse teams to ensure seamless delivery Attend client meetings, site visits, installations, and exhibitions as required Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, profitably, and to an exceptional standard Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in exhibition, event, or project management Strong customer relationship and sales skills Excellent organisational and time management abilities, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously A calm, practical approach under pressure Outstanding written and verbal communication skills Strong computer skills and confidence learning new software A proactive attitude and willingness to get involved wherever needed Ability to work independently and contribute to a collaborative team Please note we will only consider applications from people who possess the above stated skills and experience, are living in New Zealand and legally allowed to work here. #J-18808-Ljbffr
