Senior Designer

Gather Recruitment – Auckland, North Island We’re working with an award-winning brand design studio who are looking for a Senior Designer who brings both craft excellence and strategic thinking. If you’re an experienced graphic designer from a high-end brand agency background and can turn insight into commercially powerful design, this is a fantastic creative opportunity. What you’ll do: You’ll lead design projects, translating strategy into standout concepts, shaping briefs, presenting work, and collaborating closely with the wider team and clients. Expect hands‑on involvement across identity systems, packaging, campaigns, digital, motion and environmental design projects. You’ll also get to art direct at times and ensure every output meets a high standard of craft and consistency. Supporting the Creative Directors you’ll play a key role in maintaining the studio’s creative culture, and ways of working. What you bring: A portfolio that shows design excellence across brand identity, packaging, print and digital Strong skills in typography, layout, colour and visual storytelling Experience designing coherent systems for multi-channel brand projects Familiarity with production, print processes, digital best practice Confidence with Adobe CC, Figma and modern/AI-enhanced tools Strategic design thinking with a calm, collaborative, no-ego approach Ability to simplify complexity, communicate clearly, and take ownership in a fast‑paced, multi-project studio Why you’ll love it: Dogs in the office Upskilling and creative growth encouraged Grey Lynn studio close to Ponsonby Road Flat hierarchy where ideas are welcomed Work with a multi award-winning brand design team!
