School Holiday Programme

1-2 week fixed term contract, during NZ School Holidays $23.50 - $29.10 per hour Auckland locations We have sites and support options across the whole Auckland region. Our School Holiday Program is all about fun activities in a safe and positive environment. Our team of support workers ensure that all children are catered for and active participation is achieved. As a Community Support Worker in one of our School Holiday Programmes, you will work as part of a team, dedicated to creating and maintaining a safe, secure and healthy space, where children with a learning disability can spend time in the holidays. Reporting to the Programme Leader, you will facilitate meaningful activities and support children to engage in a variety of tasks. These are fixed term contracts of a variety of shifts, covering two consecutive weeks (Monday to Friday 8:30am - 3.30pm or 4:30pm), which coincide with the school holidays. Skills & Experience Committed and passionate for supporting people with disabilities to live great lives Ability to communicate effectively and supportively with your colleagues and the people you support Empathy and willingness to support people with their personal cares, such as bathing, dressing and toileting Excellent, clear, understandable verbal and written English is a pre-requisite to be considered for this role The ideal candidate will have: The commitment to achieve a Community Support Worker Level 3 qualification Experience supporting people with disabilities and/or challenging behaviours Reliability, Commitment, and Passion for working with people A full New Zealand driver's licence The ability to use a computer effectively, including programs such as Word, Internet Explorer, and email Spectrum Care is proudly an equal opportunity employer. #J-18808-Ljbffr
