You’ll play a key role in overseeing our solar operations from design through to installation, ensuring every project is delivered safely, efficiently, on time and to the highest standard. About the Role As our Electrical Operations Manager, you’ll lead our solar installation team and oversee the day-to-day delivery of residential and commercial solar projects. You’ll work closely with our sales, administration and installation teams, providing technical leadership, coordinating projects and ensuring an outstanding experience for our customers. What You’ll Be Doing Leading, supporting and developing our solar installation team Designing residential and commercial solar systems using OpenSolar Reviewing quotations and system designs for accuracy, suitability and compliance Scheduling installations and managing project timelines Providing technical support to electricians, installers and apprentices Ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently and within budget Maintaining high health and safety standards across all projects Ensuring installations comply with New Zealand electrical regulations and industry standards Managing stock levels and coordinating equipment requirements Liaising with suppliers, electricity networks and other stakeholders Identifying and implementing opportunities for continuous improvement What We’re Looking For We’re looking for an experienced electrical leader who can confidently manage a team, coordinate installations and solve technical challenges. You may already have extensive solar experience, or you may come from a commercial electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, building services or similar technical environment and be ready to develop your solar expertise. Strong leadership, electrical knowledge and project delivery experience are essential. Direct solar experience would be a significant advantage, but training and support can be provided to the right person. Current New Zealand electrical registration and a valid practising licence Previous leadership, supervisory or project management experience Strong knowledge of New Zealand electrical regulations and compliance requirements The ability to confidently lead and coordinate a technical team Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills A full New Zealand Driver Licence Bonus Points If You Have Experience using OpenSolar or a similar design platform Battery storage installation experience Experience with inverter commissioning and monitoring platforms Experience managing residential or commercial installation projects A passion for mentoring electricians, installers and apprentices SEANZ, CEC or other recognised solar training or certification If you're an experienced electrician with a passion for solar and leadership, we'd love to hear from you.
