Job Description
As part of a collaborative finance team of four, you will support Loadscan's finance and accounting function across four international entities. This is a hands‑on, varied intermediate role that offers exposure to a broad range of accounting and finance activities, making it ideal for someone who is part‑qualified, currently studying toward CA, or looking to progress into a qualified financial accounting role. You will be responsible for a range of accounting activities, including bank reconciliations, accounts payable and accounts receivable processing, month‑end close support, financial reporting assistance, tax compliance support, and maintaining accurate financial records. You will also assist with balance sheet reconciliations, cash flow reporting, intercompany transactions, audit preparation, and process improvement initiatives under the guidance of senior finance team members. We're looking for someone who is adaptable, proactive, and ready to build on their existing accounting experience. One day you may be following up on overdue customer payments, and the next you could be assisting with a month‑end task, researching a tax question, or helping improve the finance process. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, good organisational skills, and a willingness to learn while confidently managing competing priorities. Key responsibilities Support the monthly close across all entities, including journals, accruals and prepayments Assist with annual financial statement preparation and tax compliance activities Prepare and maintain key reconciliations, including bank, intercompany and balance‑sheet items Provide accounting and processing support to the admin team and finance support to group companies Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow reporting and ad hoc financial projects Contribute to process improvement across finance systems and procedures About you Approximately 2–4 years of accounting experience, ideally in a commercial or multi‑entity environment Part‑qualified, currently working toward CA/CPA, or intending to pursue CA qualification Some month‑end, reconciliations and financial reporting experience, with a willingness to keep developing these skills Confidence working with accounting processes and a desire to build broader end‑to‑end finance capability Experience using ERP or accounting systems, with strong Excel skills Reconciliation discipline and sharp attention to detail A proactive, curious and system‑minded approach, with clear communication and a willingness to learn About us Loadscan develops and manufactures innovative measurement technology for truck load volumes and bulk materials on conveyors in industries such as civil construction and mining.
