Are you a people-person with a knack for bringing ideas to life? Thrive on creating memorable events and connecting with others? We’re on the hunt for a dynamic Community and Events Specialist to join our energetic team supporting our members in Central North Island.
ABOUT THE ROLE - MO TE TUNGA
In this role, you’ll create standout experiences for members by planning engaging events both online and in person, supporting member groups, and injecting your expertise into every occasion. You’ll also get hands-on with your marketing and communication skills to make each event memorable, connect with a wide range of stakeholders to keep a finger on the pulse of what members value, and ensure our events stay fresh and relevant.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Be the relationship maestro - juggling connections with partners inside and out!
- Plan, promote, and deliver events from start to finish - making every gathering unforgettable!
- Spark buzz with local comms and social media magic!
- Keep member groups and committees running like a well-oiled machine.
- Jump in to support business partners and wow our members every day.
- Own our CRM and digital platforms – drive member engagement and streamline events with digital flair.
ABOUT YOU - HE KORERO MOU
You will be the heart of our member experience. You will also bring:
- Experience in end-to-end event delivery, community engagement, and stakeholder management (with a passion for awesome events!)
- A growth mindset, a flexible approach, and the ability to juggle multiple tasks with ease.
- Stellar communication skills - whether you’re chatting face-to-face, online, or over the phone.
- Relationship-building skills with a diverse crowd (bonus points for Salesforce or similar CRM know-how!).
- You thrive on curiosity - always eager to learn, grow, and keep your thinking sharp and innovative!
