Assistant HOLA Physical Education and Health (Leading the Health Curriculum) Full time, Fixed term, Start Date: 12/10/2026, End Date: 24/09/2027 (Parental Leave) Secondary (Years 7–15) / wharekura, Certificated teacher Health and physical education 1 Management Unit and 1 hour time allowance Hillmorton High School is a diverse urban coeducational school situated in the South-West of Christchurch. The school is a fast-growing Year 7–13 school with dedicated middle and senior schools. We have a roll of around 1400 and with further building works underway, the roll is expected to increase in the next few years. We provide students with a caring and supportive environment, to help them achieve academic excellence, leadership skills and a love of learning. Due to maternity leave, there will be a full-time fixed-term role available from Term 4 this year. Our health and PE department are looking for a future-focused and creative-minded teacher who brings initiative and passion for the subject. A keenness to be a part of and experience in the health space will be valuable, as this role is an assistant head of learning area with a curriculum lead in health.
