Heavy Fabrication Welder – Concrete Fleet Maintenance Hamilton | $34–$38 per hour | Immediate Start | Weekly Pay Are you an experienced Heavy Fabrication Welder looking for your next challenge? We're seeking a skilled welder to join a busy workshop maintaining and repairing a large fleet of concrete trucks and heavy transport equipment. If you enjoy hands-on fabrication work and take pride in producing quality repairs, we'd love to hear from you. About the Role Working in a well-equipped workshop, you'll be responsible for repairing, fabricating, and maintaining concrete truck bodies, chutes, barrels, and associated heavy steel components to keep the fleet operating safely and efficiently. Carry out heavy fabrication and structural welding repairs on concrete trucks and fleet equipment. Repair and replace worn or damaged steel components, including chutes, frames, brackets, guards, and structural sections. Perform MIG welding on heavy-gauge steel. Cut, measure, fabricate, and fit replacement components. Operate workshop equipment including welders, grinders, plasma cutters, drills, saws, and oxy-acetylene equipment. Complete preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs. Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality and safety standards. Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment. Work closely with the maintenance team to minimise vehicle downtime. What We're Looking For Proven experience in heavy fabrication and MIG welding. Experience working on heavy transport, construction, earthmoving, or concrete equipment is highly desirable. Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and measurements. Confident using a range of fabrication and workshop machinery. Strong attention to detail with pride in producing high-quality workmanship. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable, physically fit, and committed to workplace safety. Full Class 1 driver's licence preferred.
