About the Role We are seeking New Graduate Midwives to join us and work collegiallywithin our skilled and friendly multi-disciplinary teams as we work inpartnership with our local Lead Maternity Carer’s to assess, plan, implementand evaluate health care for the mothers and babies of the Waitaharegion. Our New Graduate midwifery program offers you professional developmentopportunities and enables you to develop your midwifery skills within asupportive environment. You will rotate between birthing suite and theantenatal/postnatal ward at Christchurch Women’s Hospital. There may also beopportunities to gain experience within one of our outstanding whānau centred CommunityBirthing Units or women’s outpatients service. With our Trans-alpine agreement,you could also have the opportunity to work with our Te Tai o Poutini teams onthe picturesque West Coast of the South Island. We are one of the largest tertiary units in New Zealand and supportedby our Community Birthing Units, weprovide whānau centred support and care for over 5,500 births annually.
