Key facts Location: Auckland, New Zealand Engagement: Full-time position What you'll do Operate a range of aircraft in compliance with aviation regulations and company policies, ensuring the safety of passengers and crew. Conduct pre-flight inspections and prepare flight plans, including route selection, fuel calculations, and weather assessments. Communicate effectively with air traffic control and ground personnel to ensure smooth operations during takeoff, flight, and landing. Maintain accurate flight logs and records, documenting all flight activities and any incidents that may occur. Collaborate with ground crew to ensure timely aircraft turnaround and adherence to schedules. Participate in ongoing training and professional development programs to stay current with industry standards and regulations. Conduct post-flight inspections and report any mechanical issues or concerns to maintenance personnel. Assist in the development and implementation of safety protocols and procedures to enhance operational safety. Provide exceptional customer service to passengers, addressing any inquiries or concerns during the flight. Engage in regular team meetings to discuss operational updates, safety issues, and performance improvements. Mentor and support junior pilots and crew members, fostering a collaborative and educational work environment. Stay informed about advancements in aviation technology and best practices to continually improve flight operations. Requirements Valid commercial pilot license (CPL) with appropriate ratings for the aircraft operated. Minimum of 1,500 flight hours, including experience in multi-engine aircraft. Strong knowledge of aviation regulations and safety standards. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Proven ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure. Flexibility to work irregular hours, including weekends and holidays, as flight schedules may require. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, particularly in high‑stress situations. Proficiency in using flight planning software and navigation tools.
