You are currently studying or have recently completed (within the last 12 months) a masters or PhD degree in science, engineering, design, technology, or a related field at a New Zealand tertiary institution. About the Project This role offers the opportunity to work across Unity-based AR/3D application development, building products that combine education, creativity, computer vision, AR, AI, and real-time interactive experiences. You'll contribute to a wide range of exciting R&D initiatives and customer-facing products, including: AR content development, expanding Quiver's capabilities by releasing R&D features in the current pipeline. The role offers exposure to a diverse technology stack, including Unity, C#, cloud services, AI, computer vision, APIs, providing an opportunity to work on innovative products from concept through to deployment. If you're passionate about solving challenging technical problems and building products that positively impact education worldwide, you'll find plenty of exciting opportunities to innovate within this project. Required skills 2+ years of experience with Unity Game Engine. Proven experience building software with Unity (games or apps), ideally that are consumer-facing and content driven. Ability to write documented, unit-testable, C# code that is compliant with our company coding conventions and standards. Experience with scripting, textures, animation, GUI styles, and user session management. Strong attention to detail, rigorous in self-testing code, and delivering high-quality work Analytical thinker, capable of translating business requirements, wireframes, etc. into application architecture Some experience in implementing AR/VR applications Knowledge of 3D Math, graphics, physics, and animations Experience with mobile SDKs (Android & iOS) and frameworks Solid understanding of the full software development life cycle Ability to quickly find creative solutions to difficult problems Experience with Vuforia. Familiarity with cloud eg. Microsoft Azure Experience with PlayMaker or Visual Scripting. Human-computer interaction. 3D modeling and animation knowledge (Blender or Maya). Knowledge of product development cycle, including business and marketing. Knowledge of pedagogy. Experience with version control systems like Git.
