Job Description
We're looking for a Software Engineer - Full Stack to help design, develop, and maintain full-stack software applications for our next-generation Cytology products. This role involves hands-on development across the technology stack, from front-end interfaces built with React and TypeScript to back-end services and databases using .NET and MSSQL. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to help translate requirements into robust, maintainable solutions, growing their skills through design discussions, code reviews, and collaboration with senior engineers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, implement, and improve full-stack software applications Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using modern web technologies (e.g., TypeScript, React, .NET) Take ownership of software features and components under the guidance of senior engineers, from requirements analysis through design, implementation, testing, deployment, and documentation Participate in design discussions and contribute ideas on tradeoffs and best practices Participate in code reviews and apply feedback on coding standards, design patterns, maintainability, performance, and security Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues across the full technology stack Support software testing and release processes Document technical processes and contribute to project documentation Participate in the software design lifecycle: help interpret requirements, contribute to solution design, implement features, test thoroughly, and document your work Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in software development Required Qualifications and Experience BS or MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent plus 3+ years of related experience or MS plus 1+ years of related experience Experience developing, testing, and deploying full-stack software applications Requires prior experience working in an integrated, cross-functional team environment Growing understanding of software development lifecycle practices, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, verification, deployment, and maintenance Medical device experience a plus Required Skills Technologies: TypeScript, C#, .NET, WPF, Python, PowerShell, MSSQL Tools: Visual Studio, GitHub, JIRA, Code Review Tools Platforms: Windows Desktop / Server, Azure / Google Cloud Platform Knowledge of React or a similar frontend framework Knowledge of UI design principles, prototyping, and user-centered design practices Knowledge of software design patterns, object-oriented design, microservices, and full-stack application architecture Knowledge of DICOM, HL7, or other interoperability standards a plus Knowledge of OpenSeadragon or other deep zoomable image viewers a plus Knowledge of GitHub Copilot or other AI-assisted development tools a plus Experience working within Agile/Scrum and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) environments So why join Hologic? The annualized base salary range for this role is $86,800 to $135,700 and is bonus eligible.
