About the Role The Senior Advisor BreastScreen Aotearoa plays a key role in providing high-quality strategic and operational advice, leading key initiatives and projects, and collaborates with districts, providers and stakeholders to improve outcomes for priority populations. This is a secondment to provide strong subject matter expertise, writing and relationship skills, ensuring all work is aligned with equity objectives, Te Tiriti o Waitangi obligations, and the delivery of safe, effective and accessible breast screening services across Aotearoa. About the Service The National Public Health Service (NPHS) within Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora, work towards Pae Ora (healthy futures) for all by engaging with the wider determinants that impact people's health, focusing on oranga/wellbeing, prevention, protection, and population-level intervention. About you You are an experienced health sector professional with strong advisory experience, excellent judgment and stakeholder engagement skills. You are comfortable working in complex environments, translating technical information into clear and actionable advice, and building effective relationships across a diverse range of stakeholders. Passionate about improving health outcomes, you bring a strong commitment to equity, Te Tiriti o Waitangi, continuous improvement and delivering high-quality results that make a meaningful difference for communities across Aotearoa. You will bring: A relevant tertiary qualification in a health or relevant field and/or equivalent Demonstrated experience providing high-quality advice and leading work programmes within the health sector Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to distil complex information into clear recommendations Strong relationship management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels Sound understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and a commitment to achieving equitable health outcomes for Māori and priority populations Self-motivated, adaptable and solutions-focused, with a proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results.
