Mōtetūranga|About the role We are looking for an OriginationLeadto join our Strategy and Portfolioteamand play a crucial roleingrowingMeridian,optimisingour portfolio and delivering valuethroughstrong market insight, commercialjudgementand trustedrelationships. Āumahi| Whatyou’llbe doing Reportingtothe Head of Origination,you’llwork closely tohelp build the origination pipeline, lead significant, sometimes Global opportunities and structure commercial solutions. This roleexpands Meridian’s capacity toidentify, shape and secure growth opportunities through long-term electricity agreements, customerpartnershipsand new demand opportunities.You’llidentifydemand, leadcommercialnegotiationsandexecute agreements. You’llbring strong commercial acumen,with experience in businessdevelopment, deals, partnerships, wholesalemarketsor complexcustomer arrangements. You’llbe comfortable in the detailbut also be able to think ‘blueskies’. You’llbe an exceptional communicator, able to build trusted relationships easily. We’relooking for someone who has sound commercial judgementandcanoperateinambiguity. You might have alegal, project finance, engineering, investment banking background – the key for us isdemonstrableexperience with complex projects and executingagreements. Ideally,you’dhave adeep understanding of the NZ electricity market. Interestinand an appreciationof the opportunitiesrenewable energy candeliver to theenergytransitionareamust.
