About the Role We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Personal Assistant & Administrator to provide exceptional executive and administrative support to the Service Manager while contributing to the efficient day-to-day operation of the General and Vascular Surgery Service. In this pivotal role, you will provide responsive, high-quality personal assistance and administrative support, ensuring the smooth delivery of administrative functions across the service. You will manage a range of responsibilities including diary management, meeting coordination, report preparation, correspondence, and information management, while supporting the changing needs of a busy clinical environment. Your ability to build strong working relationships, manage competing priorities, and maintain accurate and timely administrative processes will enable the Service Manager and wider team to focus on delivering outstanding patient care. This is a full-time, permanent position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, based at Middlemore Hospital. About You We are looking for a proactive, composed, and highly organised individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about supporting healthcare teams. To succeed, you will bring: 23 years experience providing personal assistant or senior staff support Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Visio Strong report writing, diary management, and office administration skills A positive, flexible attitude with a can-do approach to meeting deadlines Working at Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
