Situated in five acres of gardens, on stunning Waiheke Island, The Heke Restaurant is located at the home of our award-winning brewery and distillery.

The kitchen team is led by an experienced, ambitious and talented Head Chef. We have two fully equipped kitchens with modern equipment. With a busy summer just behind us, our team is growing and we are currently recruiting for the following role:

\n Chef de Partie

We require at least 2 years of cooking experience, ideally in fast paced modern kitchens, where quality of ingredients and skills show in the end result. If you are located overseas at a minimum you will be asked to provide references we can check, a live online meeting, and video evidence of your skills. You must be a team player.

We give emphasis to developing skills across multiple sections. If you are a master of preparation, the fry section, pizza oven, or a specialist on Grill, we would love to hear from you. Most importantly you will have a true passion for food and can keep your cool & sense of humour when the pressure is on.

About the position:

Full time role over a 5 day week, offering a great work life balance, on beautiful Waiheke Island, Auckland, New Zealand. Sponsorship is possible if the criteria is met.
\n Minimum of 30 hours per week guaranteed. Start date is somewhat flexible.

Accommodation may be available for the right candidate to help you settle in, if you are considering a move to Waiheke Island- just a 30 minute ferry from Auckland city for days off.
