What You’ll Do As a Collections Officer, you'll play an important role in supporting our Enterprise customers by managing overdue accounts with professionalism, empathy and a solutions-focused approach. Working closely with Account Managers and teams across the business, you'll help customers get back on track by identifying the best payment solutions, resolving issues and ensuring arrears are managed effectively. You'll also use your analytical skills to identify trends, improve processes and support better business outcomes. Some Of The Key Responsibilities Are Proactively manage overdue customer accounts through phone, email and written communication. Work with Account Managers to understand the root causes of arrears and identify the best path forward. Negotiate payment plans and recommend appropriate recovery actions where required. Prepare receivables reports and provide insights on overdue accounts and payment arrangements. Build strong relationships with internal teams to resolve payment issues and support positive customer outcomes. Identify opportunities to improve collections processes and ways of working. What You’ll Bring You’ll be a confident communicator who enjoys solving problems and building positive relationships. You’ll be comfortable having difficult conversations while remaining customer-focused and achieving the best outcome for both the customer and Genesis. We're Looking For Someone With At least 2 years' experience in collections, credit control, credit recovery or a similar role. Strong communication skills with the confidence to influence, negotiate and challenge when needed. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities. A customer-focused mindset with strong problem-solving skills. The ability to work collaboratively across teams and build trusted relationships. A proactive approach with a continuous improvement mindset. Experience in the energy industry or a contact centre environment would be beneficial but isn't essential.
