About the Role This is an exciting opportunity for a Registerednurse to join our multi-disciplinary team at the Regional Rangatahi AdolescentInpatient Service (RRAIS), based at Kenepuru Hospital.The Rangatahi Unit is a 12 bedded mental health acuteunit that provides a service for adolescents who are experiencing an acuteepisode of mental illness. RRAIS is oneof three adolescent inpatient services in New Zealand. It is a regional servicefor the lower North Island providing for adolescents from the Wellington regionup to and including Gisborne.We are a dynamic and enthusiastic team with a passionfor providing specialist assessment and treatment to rangatahi aged 12 to 17years inclusive and their whanau. You will fit into a strong team culture ofcollaborative practice, openness, humour, fun and respect across all ourdisciplines. About the Team / Service / Location You will be joining a service that is committed to high standards of practice andsupports on-going professional development for staff through regularsupervision, an excellent professional development and recognition programme(PDRP), regular in-service training and support towards external education.This is an excellent opportunity to developyour clinical skills on a shift by shift basis. The focus is on delivering individualised, evidence based andmulti-disciplinary interventions within an inpatient setting, that areholistic, recovery focused, culturally respectful and promote wellbeing and independence.
