Service Delivery Lead – Supported Independent Living and Residential Services New Plymouth-based | Relocation support available Permanent, full-time position (80 hours per fortnight) Competitive salary and highly impactful role – you will make a significant contribution to our success New Plymouth-based | Relocation support available We’re seeking an experienced Service Delivery Lead to join our team in Taranaki. We’re seeking a hands-on Service Delivery Lead to manage our Supported Independent Living and Residential Services in Taranaki. You’ll lead a team delivering person-centred support, ensure quality and compliance, develop staff capability, and solve operational challenges. Reporting to the General Manager, you’ll have authority and expectations: innovate, remove barriers to independence, and build a team that’s equipped and engaged. This is leadership with real impact—not process management. We are promoting this opportunity across Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch to connect with experienced candidates who are open to relocating to Taranaki. What Would You Do Lead and coach teams providing support to disabled people in independent and residential settings Ensure quality, safeguarding, and regulatory compliance across all services Manage performance, development, and wellbeing of your teams Work with the General Manager to plan and deliver services aligned with our vision Identify and implement improvements to how we deliver support Represent the services in stakeholder conversations (whānau, funders, health providers, community) Participate in an after-hours on-call roster Essential What you will bring Relevant tertiary qualification (minimum Level 7) e.g. bachelors in management, nursing, social services, psychology, or commensurate experience Relevant work experience, including at least two years experience in the health and disability or social services sector At least one year’s experience in leading and managing teams Proven experience working with multiple stakeholders both internally and externally Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to create effective working relationships Ability to pick up new processes and a range of IT systems, including systems such as Google Apps and Microsoft 365 Ability to work to tight deadlines and to multi-task Proven experience in managing people’s performance Willingness to participate in an after-hours on-call roster Desirable Experience working with diverse cultures Expertise in planning and delivering services that are centred around people who use our services Why join us Competitive remuneration Five weeks of annual leave Flexible working arrangements The opportunity to join a great organisation and do meaningful work Relocation support available We recognise that relocating is a significant decision.
